From its beginnings in 1886, the McCrum family potato farm sustained both an expanding agricultural business and generations of Maine potato farmers.

Today, the McCrum family enterprise spans the entire state of Maine-specializing in every aspect of potatoes. This vertical integration allows us to monitor quality from field to table, ensuring that the highest standards are met every step of the way.

Penobscot McCrum was formed in 2004 when the McCrum family purchased the assets of Penobscot Frozen Foods, breathing new life into an established processing business. This marriage of two Maine companies created one of North America's largest suppliers of superior, value-added potato specialty products. With the expansion of operations in Aroostook County in 2019, we now simply go by McCrum.
