Free Farm Fry at Dysart’s Restaurants on Friday, July 14

National Farm Fry Day proclaimed as the day after National French Fry Day

BANGOR, MAINE – Penobscot McCrum, a Belfast-based producer of potato products made from Maine potatoes, has announced a day to celebrate one of the company’s staples. “National Farm Fry Day” has been proclaimed for Friday, July 14. To celebrate, Dysart’s Restaurants in Hermon and Bangor is offering a free Farm Fry appetizer all day long.

“Farm Fry is a relatively new product for us, but it has really gained in popularity quickly,” said Jay McCrum, Managing Partner of Penobscot McCrum. “Farm Fry is available at a number of restaurants in Maine and around the country including Dysart’s. But it’s also become a popular choice in some pretty high profile locations like the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Hadlock Field in Portland, and it’s the official potato product of the Boston Bruins at the TD Garden in Boston. For people who haven’t tried it yet – or for those who have and love it – National Farm Fry Day is a good opportunity to enjoy the unique, delicious taste of Farm Fry as an appetizer, free of charge.”

Dysart’s Restaurants will be offering one free appetizer of Farm Fry per table, sized to accommodate the number of guests at the table.

“We love Farm Fry for several reasons,” said Mary Dysart-Hartt of Dysart’s Restaurant. “Our customers love it, it’s grown and made in Maine, and we can use it as a foundation to create a really delicious appetizer. We’re excited about National Farm Fry Day at Dysart’s and we’re excited to see this Maine product continue to gain in popularity.”

Dysart’s Restaurant on the Coldbrook Road in Hermon is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dysart’s Restaurant on Broadway in Bangor is open from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. on Fridays, and 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday – Thursday.
